Two more candidates have thrown their hats into the ring in the upcoming Wellington North municipal election.
Mark A. Goetz of Kenilworth filed Friday for the position of councillor in Ward 3. On Monday Steven Leask of Mount Forest has filed papers for the same position, which is also being sought by Lisa M. Hern of RR 2, Kenilworth.
The seat is currently held by incumbent Ross Chaulk, who has announced he is running for the position of Wellington North Mayor.
Also seeking the township’s top job are incumbent Mike Broomhead and political newcomers Janice L. Lewis and Raymond Tout. All three are from Mount Forest.
In the running for councillor, ward 1, are incumbent Dan J. Yake, Shawn McLeod and Derek Bridgwater. All three men reside in Mount Forest.
Seeking election in ward 2 are Ron J. Forrest and Sherry Burke, both of Mount Forest. Incumbent Bob Mason is not seeking re-election.
Incumbent John Matusinec of RR 3, Arthur is being challenged for his Ward 4 seat by Barry Dishart of Arthur.
