The ice tractor started off slow Thursday night in Arthur but the Arthur Peewee Local League (Coffey) team did not. Liam McArthur, #7, scored from the face-off eight seconds into the game! The defence for Arthur was awesome, shutting down any chances to score for Elora, with Ryan Plat deflecting everything else. Neither team could gain ground as they went back and forth.
Then in the second period, #2, Joey Sheppard took a nice back hand shot but was robbed by the Elora goalie. Gordon Wilman, #4, stopped a breakaway. Then Elora got through and took a shot and got robbed with an even better save thanks to our goalie, Ryan Plat, #30.
In the third there were three Elora players against one Arthur defenceman, Noah Coffey, #8, and Noah came out on top! Elora was having trouble with offsides for a bit in the third, which worked in our favour. Then with less than three minutes left Elora got past Ryan and put it in the back of the net.
