The Arthur Squirt major softball team  travelled to Alma on July 13  and dominated the play throughout the game. They won the game 14-7. Cody Lane and Zack Tanner both scored triple runs while Josh Ellis and Jesse Ellis scored double runs. Thanks to the pitching of Kyle Stewart who delivered six strikeouts and walked only three runners.
On July 14 the Arthur team travelled to Palmerston to play the Minto Squirt boys who had only lost one game this season. Stewart, of Arthur  took to the mound and struck out three of the first four Minto batters. The Arthur team rolled on to score four runs in the first two innings and added three more runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Stewart struck out a total of seven Minto batters and assisted the team to a 7–4 win. This was Minto’s second loss of the season.
The Arthur Majors took to the field again Wednesday July 21 playing Hillsburgh here in Arthur. Come on out and support your local Squirt Major team and cheer them on in their love for the softball sport.
